welcome to the soiree'

welcome to the soiree.  “sashay right on in”, i say.
if chasing pleasures or running from pain, jump into the foray.
down in the alley the visceral sounds and smells draw you to the bouquet.
you have arrived right on time for the banquet, welcome to the soiree.

here at the soiree, you’re the center of the affair.
feel the pulse of the room, so heightened and free of care.
sneak in through our plush salon and grab a mohair sofa chair.
those that want to be seen prefer the entrance down the grand winding staircase..

check your reservations. your table awaits, so stroll right through the archway.
forever the candelabra burns, set among a heavy sweetened nosegay.
the fun starts perhaps with folk music and risque wordplay.
the room moves to the memphis blues, winding down to melancholy jazz on tuesday.

relax and have a toast. we speak easy here at the soiree.
so many dinners to reenact, so sit and catch the show at our star landing cafe.
the company is high society, everyone is someone at this party.
a night for romantic interlude, or we can create themes of variety.

her eyes, deep hazel as she ordered the lobster crepes and fricassee.  he remembered that!
his name was written all over the menu, his eyes were never lead astray. she remembered that!
all the fine china, all the breaking glass and the countless empty bottles.
we have spilled a lot of cocktails, but really enjoyed the muddle.

the hour arrives to imbibe and the deep ginger oil of venus descends so artful.
the cheese souffle infused with the rich taste of piquant truffles.
a filet in roquefort and wine cream sauce has everyone taking notes.
for the hot air balloonist, we served pompano en papillote.

it’s the taste you’ll always remember, here at the soiree.
catch us before an opera or after the symphony concert.
expect a flaming bananas mame with strawberry glacee’ or  fine chocolate souffle for dessert.
ring us for dinner for two or big events, private parties or that special occasion.

dinner for the czar, a pousse cafe in the caribbean, whatever your persuasion,
we have prepared courses in the most bizarre locations.
experiencing nautical twilight on a sheiks yacht was deluxe.
the fun only pauses to take a deep breath during the equilux.

welcome to the soiree, “sashay right in”, i say.
there is no need to wait for the finer things, fuck that old cliche!
